These were some of the really good presentations that I enjoyed at conference.

Breakout 2 - Tony Ryan

Once again I went to see Tony Ryan. He is the most amazing presenter and even tho a lot of what he talked about what stuff we had already heard - it almost has moe meaning the second time around. There are many concepts which Tony presents that are of particular interest to me. One is the Ripple Effect - where even the slightest change will make a difference, another - the thought of removing your physical self from your mental self allowing you to think and act at a meta-cognitive level.

Breakout 7 - Trudy Francis

Planning, Teaching and Assessing the Key competencies.
Trudy talked a lot about how and where the Habits of the Mind would fit into the Key Competencies and how to effectively use these in a classroom. She was very inspirational and well versed in the subject. She provided many pracitical examples and even a short video at the end. We all came out feeling inspired to learn more about the Habits of the Mind and Key Competencies link.
